Condition: Sinus Problem •  Liver and GB Fire
Treatment: Disperse Wind Cold, clear lungs and nasal cavities, induce LR and GB Fire downward.
Description: Fetid and yellow nasal discharge, irritability, headache, flank pain, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, red tongue, yellow coating, wiry and rapid pulse

Rhinitis and Nasosinusitus, Rhinitis refer to the inflammation of the nasomembranes. Nasomembranes refers to the inflammation of the nasosinuses. In TCM, both conditions are known as Biyan, which means thick and sticky nasal discharge running, loss of the sense of smell and frontal headache.

Comment: Points of the Lung and Large Intestine are selected as main points to smooth the flow of the Lung Qi.

Point Selection:
LI20 • Ying Xiang • In the nasolabial groove, 0.5 cun lateral to the nostril.
Welcome Frangrance. Meeting Point on the Large Intestine Channel with the Stomach Channel.
Explanation: Opens nose, remove nasal obstruction.

LI4 • He Gu • On the dorsum of the hand, approximately at the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone, in the belly of the first interosseus dorsalis muscle.
Contraindication: Do Not Needle If Pregnancy is known or suspected
Union Valley. Yuan Source Point on the Large Intestine Channel. Command Point of the Face and Mouth.
Explanation: Distal point, opens the nose, disperses Wind.

LU7 • Lie Que • On the radial side of the forearm, 1.5 cun superior to the tip of the radial styloid process.
Broken Sequence. Luo Connecting Point on the Lung Channel to LI4.
Explanation: Regulates Lung Qi.
