Condition: Bi Syndrome •  Painful Bi
Treatment: Disperse wind and cold, resolve damp, clear heat, remove obstructions, regulate circulation of Qi and blood and check Bi Syndrome.
Description: Bi Syndrome - Painful Bi (Tong Bi), Intense pain with cold sensation which is localized, worsens with cold and diminished with warmth. White tongue coating, tense and wiry pulse.
Comment: Moxa to warm the interior.

Point Selection:
BL23 • Shen Shu • On the lower back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra (L2).
CautionAvoid the Kidneys.
Kidney Shu. Back Shu of the Kidney that connects with Front Mu GB25.
Explanation: Back Shu of the Kidney.

CV4 • Guan Yuan • In the pubic region, on the anterior midline, 2 cun superior to the upper border of the symphysis pubis.
Origin Pass. Front Mu Point of the Small Intestine that connects with Back Shu BL27. Meeting Point on the Conception Vessel with the Spleen, Liver and Kidney Channels.
Explanation: Gate of Source Qi.
